I have watched this show 3 times, and my unpopular opinion is that season 8&9 were the best, most people say modern family took a bad twist around s8, but i believe it took a good twist, new fun characters, the kids having to fight with life by theirselves, the character development is INCREDIBLE etc, here’s my list of my favourite seasons from least fav to more fav (i love all of .Alex and Arvin getting together, especially in the last episode with ABSOLUTELY no build up since she got with Bill was awful writing. Bill and Alex were wonderful together, he helped her be less snobby as well as explore her own self and life.
My recommendation is to watch season 1 up until the episode Fizbo, which is episode 9 and one of the best episodes they ever did. If you don’t like the show by then, you can give it up.
We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. Totally agreed on the overacting. Getting a bit annoyed with Gloria's hysterics now. The episode felt like a "filler" episode. Also, the jokes seemed forced, which is strange because if there's one thing MF gets right, it's humour that just flows right .
Favorite is Alex, I relate to her as the nerd who always got good grades and then became a female scientist myself. Plus I also relate to her sometimes feeling alienated from the family due to her intellect and feeling like they don't get her.
